I couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up 2015 than Sarah & TJ’s wedding. The University Club in Chicago has become one of my favorite Chicago city venues and their entire property provides such an overwhelmingly beautiful backdrop for any wedding. But beyond how beautiful the entire day was, Sarah and TJ were such a joy to work with. They’re kind, considerate, easy going, so positive, and one of the funnest couples I’ve had the opportunity to work with. And who they are was reflected throughout their entire wedding day.
When you have a wedding in November in Chicago, you’re rolling the dice on the weather. On Sarah & TJ’s wedding morning there was light but cold rain, which could have threatened their vision of pictures capturing iconic Chicago. Sarah & TJ decided to push through and hope for the best, because, well, that’s who they are. Shortly into portraits, the rain transformed into the first snow of the season and made for some of my favorite images of the year.
The day couldn’t have happened without many amazing vendors, especially including Nicole and her team at LK Events. In my six years in the industry, I don’t know if I’ve experienced a team who goes so far above and beyond to make the day memorable and stress free for their clients.
