You may remember Vanessa and Pete from their engagement session last winter. And you may not be able to tell from the pictures, but it was one of the coldest shoots I’ve ever been on. And almost to make up for the cold, their wedding day fell on one of the hotter days of the summer. But regardless of the heat, the day was truly amazing and one that I was so honored to be a part of.

Vanessa started getting ready at the Palmer House Hotel in downtown Chicago before heading to the church for the ceremony. We then explored several spots downtown with the bridal party, including Olive Park and Millennium Park before heading to The School of Art Institute of Chicago for the reception. The Art Institute is such an amazing venue for a wedding. Situated right in the heart of the city, it provides convenient access to all of the great spots around the city and its ballroom is incredibly beautiful.

It was so evident throughout the day how much Vanessa and Pete mean to their friends and family, and in my time of getting to know them, it’s not hard to see why. They are such a quality couple, so much fun to be around and they each have amazing hearts. It’s getting to work with people like them that make me love what I do. Congratulations to the two of you and thank you so much for giving me the privilege of capturing your special day!
