Julie’s Senior Portraits | Naperville, IL | Todd James Photographer

As photographers, we’re always on the lookout for cool places to do shoots.  I’ve been struck lately though, by how every location has some amazing potential backdrops waiting to be discovered.  Rustic alleyways, colorful doorways, or interesting architecture always add doses of character to a photograph.  If you’ve ever been to downtown Naperville, there are there are numerous opportunities for such locales, some pretty obvious and other requiring a little more searching.  Earlier this week, I had the privilege of meeting Julie there to photograph her senior portraits.  This shoot appropriately came on the last week of her senior year and it didn’t take much to sense her brewing excitement to close the book on her high school career.  We had a great time exploring Naperville and soaking up every aesthetically pleasing backdrop it had to offer.  Congratulations on your graduation Julie!
