It sometimes blows my mind how many beautiful locations there are within a half hour radius of Chicago that I rarely experience. These are the exact feelings I had when Jenn, Andrew, and I traveled up to Evanston for their engagement session. Evanston is definitely a suburb but it’s close enough to Chicago that you still feel connected to the city. But in contrast to the city’s grandness, Evanston prides itself on quaintness, beautiful lakeside landscapes, and historical buildings laced in vibrant ivy. Andrew also attended Northwestern University, which added to the significance of shooting his and Jenn’s engagement session there.
Even more than the amazing locations we got to shoot, I had such a great time with Jenn and Andrew. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with couples like them. And while I was already excited to shoot their wedding later this summer at Chicago’s Newberry Library, getting know them through their engagement session only added to my excitement!
